Mezzetta - In the Napa Valley

I recently tried a couple of your products.  I am just one of the many people who must avoid foods with high fat content. I was purposely looking for foods which would add texture , flavor and positive food value to the  many soy foods that I do eat.

Wanting more flavor, I added Mezzeta’s roasted red bell peppers  and Mezetta's deli-sliced tamed jalapeno peppers to my soydog.

Along with regular condiments of ketchup, mustard and a little skim milk mozzarella shredded cheese, I am now enjoying  a wonderful substitute for those fully loaded hot dogs of the past. Thanks again.

I was born and raised in New York and Long island, awash in good Italian products,  in 1987 I moved to Connecticut and in 2000 Florida,  since I left New York in 1987 good Italian Specialty products have been few and far between.




During a Recent visit to my local Sam’s club I spotted a 2 pack of Napa Valley Bistro Italian Antipasto (gourmet olives). Being an olive lover and looking for something good that does not cost 8 dollars a pound (the usual Publix price for good Deli counter Olives). I said to myself well 8$ or so for the 2 jars sounds like a good price.  "I will give it a try". Even though I had never tasted Olives marinated in Napa Valley wine before.

Wow…..Not only did this product satisfy my olive taste buds, it blew me away! Upon going to your website I see you have a whole variety of yummy looking olive, antipasto, and vegetable products.

Just thought you might appreciate one of the good letters for a change.

I myself have been told by people that I am a good cook and I normally make my own pasta sauce, but I can serve your product to my friends and family at our next dinner party and they would say that I out did myself. After eating your garlic stuffed olives for the past year or two, I can adamantly state that they are, hands down, the absolute best olives I have ever had.  Please DON’T EVER change the recipe or stop making them, I would be devastated.  The salty, buttery, almost nutty taste and moderately firm body make them perfection in a jar.  Even better than Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream, and that’s hard to beat.  And who would have thought you could compare olives to ice cream?!


I am boxing up two jars as I write this, to mail to my mother in South Dakota.  I don’t know if your brand is readily available there or not, but I’m sure she will be pleasantly surprised regardless - could be another addict in the making!

It is not often that I contact a company about their products.  I just wanted you to know that I will buy no other Golden Pepperoncini peppers than yours.  I easily go through 2 jars a week and have done so for at least the last 2 years.  Salads, sandwiches, and just out of the jar.  I find myself at the kitchen counter just gobbling them down. The liquid in the jars also make a great marinade.  Other brands have been tried in the past and none have the taste or texture that makes your product so great.  I also purchase other products and look for your label as a first choice.

Since discovering Mezzetta brand jalapenos I have not bought anything else since.  They are the best jalapenos I have ever had, they are so crunchy!!  Every time I go to the store, I look for them and there are usually none to be found.  I guess everyone loves them!!  When I do find them I buy multiple jars at a time.  Keep up the great work!!

I just wanted to write and thank you for you wonderful Italian Mix. I have changed the way I eat to loose weight and get healthy. I am a stress eater. I gained over 100 lbs. the first year after my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 3. When things go wrong I eat! That has been the hardest habit to break. I remembered my Dad use to eat you product all the time. So when thinking of things I could eat as a snack that are healthy and low in fat and calories I decided to buy a jar of your mix. What a life saver it has been! I have bought several jars in the last 6 months. I just eat a few pieces when I need a snack and it cures the urge. I am proud to say I have lost 55 lbs. now. So when I saw the web address on the lid of the jar I knew I had to write and say "Thank You".

Hello- I just had to email to say that this sauce is by far the greatest sauce that we have ever tried! We will no longer be purchasing Raos, Patsys (which are almost twice the price!) or Amy's sauces. Thank you for putting such a great product on the market and making it available to regular grocery stores!

This roasted garlic sauce is the best and I do mean the best sauce that you can buy in a jar with out all the fuss of home made . Coming from an Italian family were mom would cook for hours on end to come up with a sauce similar to this. I think you have a home run here. So here is the problem we need to know were it is sold in the Portland area so we can sample more of your great products. Keep up the great work.

I wanted to let you know that I tried your Kona Coast Island Teriyaki Marinade & Grilling Sauce. WOW!!! I used it on several pieces of Mahi Mahi. I let them marinade for approximately 6 hours and then BBQ'd them. The marinade penetrated the fish and the flavor was awesome. Everyone at the table enjoyed it. Even my daughter (who hates fish) ate it and made a comment how good it tasted.

I just wanted to drop you a quick note ... I have always searched for delicious greek peppers and have often come up disappointed. Tonight I went to our local "Rainbow" grocery store to purchase your golden Greek Peperoncini peppers and THEY'RE WONDERFUL. My spouse and I put them in our beer (torn open so the juice mixes in and the seeds float!) for a wonderful pepper-beer and I loved them on my salad. The jar's already almost gone! Dear Sirs, When my daughter and I were in Oklahoma City we ate at a Mexican restaurant and had a great home made relish. It was spicy and crisp and had cauliflower, onions, carrots, jalapenos and celery. We loved it. We are from a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin where there are many Mexican restaurants. We have never found that relish on a menu around here.

I had the good fortune to notice your Mexi-mix, hot n spicy on the grocery store shelf. I bought it immediately and couldn't wait to try it. We love it. I am writing to say that your Napa Valley Almond Stuffed Olives are the very best olives I have ever had.  I am hopelessly addicted to them and now must have a jar of them in the fridge at all times.  My husband likes them too, but he doesn't get very many because I covet them.  He's always saying that we should use the remaining liquid to marinate chicken or something.  Lord knows we have enough of it!  Maybe we'll come up with a recipe.

At any rate, it often seems like product quality is going down the tubes on so many things and when one is motivated to contact a manufacturer, it's to complain.  I just wanted to speak up about someone doing a good job, and boy, you've outdone yourselves with these olives!  Bravo!

Healthy Relish

As a consumer who enjoys good health products I am happy to find I can purchase relish  containing no "high fructose corn syrup". After seaching the supermarket isles religiously for pickles, relishes, ketchups, even stewed tomatoes) not containing this dangerous product, I came upon your red pepper relish. I am happy with it and will look for other products by your company. I have also informed my friends who are also satisfied. In a market with so few choices of truly healthy offerings, it is good to know one can find a product still relying on sugar as a sweetener. I do believe high fructose is unhealthy and a percurser to diabetes and weight gain when consumed regularly  with  sodas, baked goods, condiments and canned goods (the list is endless). Thank you for providing products without it.

Napa Valley Bistro Southwestern Olives

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how much we LOVE the Napa Valley Bistro Southwestern Olives!  They are simply outstanding!  We eat them on their own, in salads, on sandwiches, etc.  They are peppy without overpowering the dish and I like to add the "extras" (carrots, jalapenos, etc.) from the jar to the meal.  We buy them by the bottles full to have on hand in case our local stores stop carrying them (which sometimes happens when we find something we really like).  I see we can order them on-line as well, but I sure like being able to get them from our local Dillon's stores.  Thanks for putting out a quality product full of flavor and pizzaz!

Today I went into a Basha's Market in Mesa, Az.  Location was 1122 N. Higley.  While looking through the pasta sauces, one of your salesmen asked if I needed any help.  I was very surprised because in the past I have found out that usually employees of the products do not want to be bothered and have always informed me that "we are not store employees." Napa Valley Bistro Porcini, Portabella and Merlot Pasta Sauce

In a rush to make dinner, I decided to "cheat" and buy a jar of sauce instead of cooking from scratch. I bought your Porcini, Portabella and Merlot Sauce because it was the most authentic in appearance (sauce, not just packaging). The sauce is the very best I've ever tried from a jar. Amazing products

I've just recently began to purchase your products, and wanted to tell you that out of the 3, they have all been a home run.  I first tried your pickled veggies, then the Peperoncinis, and then some amazing Puttanesca sauce just the other night.  I didn't have to do a thing to kick that sauce up at all.   It's all great, and I can tell you it has a permanent place in my pantry now.
